Sign-in and password
Sign in with your email and password or with Google, change or reset your password, connect Google to your account, and confirm it's you before a sensitive change.
On this page
You sign in to Table QR in one of two ways: with your email address and a password, or with your Google account. One account can have both, so you can use either. Both are managed on your account page, under Password and Connected accounts — see Open your account page.
Sign in
On the sign-in page, enter your Work email and Password and select Sign in, or select Google to sign in with your Google account. If you have set up two-factor authentication, a code is asked for next — see Sign in with a code.
Keep me signed in is ticked by default, and you stay signed in on that browser until you sign out. On a computer other people use, untick it: the session then ends when the browser is closed.
Change your password
Open the password dialog
On your account page, in Password, select Change password.
Type the new password twice
Fill in New password and Confirm new password — at least 8 characters — and select Update password.
Confirm it's you
Enter your current password, or the code from your authenticator app — see Confirm it's you.
The dialog says your password has been updated. Every other device signed in to your account is signed out, and we email you that the password changed — if you didn't change it, sign out every other device and change it again.
Reset a forgotten password
Ask for a reset link
On the sign-in page, select Forgot password?. Enter your Work email and select Send reset link.
Open the link in the email
It opens Set a new password.
Choose a new password
Fill in New password and Confirm password, and select Update password.
You are signed in with the new password. A reset link changes the password only: with two-factor authentication on, the dashboard still asks for a code from your authenticator app.
Sign in with Google
If you signed up with Google, it is connected already. To add it to an account you sign in to with a password:
Connect Google
On your account page, in Connected accounts, select Connect next to Google.
Choose your Google account
Google asks which account to use, then brings you back to the dashboard. The row now says when it was connected.
From then on, Google on the sign-in page opens your account. The Google account may use another email address; your account keeps its own, and that is where we write to you.
- Connect links your Google account.
To stop signing in with Google, select Disconnect and confirm it's you. You can't disconnect the only way you have to sign in: the card says so, and you set a password first.
Signed up with Google? Set a password
An account created with Google has no password: Password says No password set. To be able to sign in with your email address too, select Set password and follow the steps in Change your password.
That dialog first asks you to confirm it's you: with no password yet, you do it by signing in with Google again.
Confirm it's you
A few changes are hard to undo, so the dashboard asks you to prove it's you even though you are signed in. Confirm it's you appears when you:
- change your email address or your password;
- remove an authenticator, or disconnect Google;
- sign out another device;
- delete your account;
- in an organization you own, delete it or hand its ownership over.
It asks for the code from your authenticator app when you have set up two-factor authentication, and for your password otherwise. Enter it and select Confirm. For the next few minutes you aren't asked again, so you can change your password and then sign out your other devices in one go.
If you sign in only with Google and have no authenticator, you confirm it's you by signing in with Google again. If you signed in a few minutes ago, the dialog lets you through on its own. Otherwise select Continue with Google, choose your Google account, and when you're back on the page, do what you were doing once more.
