Make the guest menu look like your brand
Set the logo, colours and fonts guests see on your venue pages and menus, and see when the Table QR mark is shown.
On this page
Your logo, colours and fonts apply to every page guests open: the venue page, the menus and the order screens. You set them once for the organization, and a location can change them for itself.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, and Marketing
Add your logo
Open SettingsGeneral, upload an image under Logo or pick one from your library, then select Save changes. A square logo works best. It counts towards your image storage, like any picture.
Your logo then appears:
- in the guest menu's header, and as the icon of its browser tab;
- in the middle of your QR codes, unless a code's design says otherwise — see Design your QR codes;
- in your dashboard, beside the organization's name.
Without a logo, the guest menu shows the first letter of the location's name in your main colour.
A logo for one location or one menu
A location can have a logo of its own, under Brand on its Details tab, and a menu under Logo on its SEO & sharing tab. Left empty, each uses the one above it.
- The guest menu's header and browser tab show the location's logo, or else the organization's. When the location has an Icon under Photos, the header shows the icon instead.
- A menu's own logo goes on that menu's QR codes and its printed menu.
Choose your colours
Open Appearance
Open SettingsAppearance. Live preview on the right shows a guest menu in your colours as you change them.
Start from a preset
Under Base preset, pick the palette closest to your brand. Each preset is complete and readable as it is; Midnight is the dark one.
Set your own colours
Change any of the main colours with a swatch, the colour picker or a hex code. Primary colours the buttons, the selected category and the add buttons. Once you change a colour, the preset shows as Custom.
Pick the corners
Under Corner radius, choose how round cards and buttons are, from None to Extra large, or type a value in pixels.
Save
Select Save changes. Guests who open the menu from then on see your colours — see How fast changes reach guests.
Every other colour — the text on your buttons, secondary text, borders of fields — is worked out from the main ones, with text colours chosen to stay readable. Advanced colours lists them all: set one only when you want a different colour, and Back to auto hands it back.
Until you set colours of your own, the guest menu follows each guest's phone into light or dark mode. Your saved colours look the same in both.
Choose your fonts
The guest menu uses three fonts, set in Fonts on the same page: Headings for the venue's name and section titles, Body text for dishes and descriptions, and Prices & numbers for prices, weights and times.
Each one is a short list, not a single font: a guest's phone uses the first font on the list it can show. The last font is always there and can't be removed, because it reads in every alphabet.
- Pick a role, then select Add a font and choose a font from the catalogue, or Upload your own font….
- Drag the fonts into the order you want.
- Check How this reads in your languages: it shows which font each of your menu's languages will really use. Some alphabets, such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean, are not in the catalogue; guests reading them see their phone's own font unless you upload one that covers them.
- Select Save changes.
An uploaded font needs its web files (.woff2, .woff, .ttf or .otf, one file per weight) and a licence to use it on a public website. Fonts count towards your plan's storage, like photos.
Give one location its own look
A location can change the colours and fonts for itself on its Settings tab, and keeps the organization's for everything it leaves alone — see Change a location's settings.
Table QR branding
Guest pages end with a small Table QR mark. On Pro and Ultimate, or with the Remove branding add-on, no page of any of your locations shows it. There is nothing to switch on.
