Cancel, pause or resume your subscription

Cancel at the end of the period you paid for, take a cancellation back, what a pause does, and what happens to your menus and data afterwards.

Cancelling stops the renewals: your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and your menus, dishes and settings are kept afterwards. To remove the organization and everything in it instead, see Delete your organization.

Who can do this: Owner and Finance

Cancel

  1. Open Billing

    Open Billing.

  2. Start the cancellation

Under Payment method, click Cancel subscription.

  3. Confirm

Click Yes, cancel, or Keep plan to change your mind.

Nothing changes until the end of the period: guests order, staff work and the plan's features stay. The page shows the date the subscription ends, and the plan and add-ons can't change in the meantime.

A free trial has nothing to cancel: it ends by itself, with nothing charged — see The free trial.

Take the cancellation back

Before the end date, click Resume subscription on the Billing page. The subscription goes on renewing as before.

Pause

Pausing stops the payments and the service together, for a while, without cancelling. It can't be done from the dashboard: our support team pauses a subscription, and resumes it, on request — see Support.

While a pause is booked or running, the plan and add-ons can't change, and the Billing page shows the date it starts or ends — or Paused until support resumes it. During the pause your organization is treated as after a cancellation, counted from the day the pause started — see below.

  • Cancelling a paused subscription ends it at once, since no paid period is running: the button reads Yes, cancel now.
  • Cancelling while a pause is booked drops the pause; the subscription ends at the end of the period.

After the subscription ends

  1. For 14 days, the dashboard is read-only, with a banner counting the days and Renew. Your guest menus stay open with a note that they may soon become unavailable, and guests can't place orders.
  2. After that, guests who open your menus or scan your QR codes see Temporarily unavailable. The dashboard shows Your subscription has ended over every page except Billing.

The people who manage billing get an email a day before your menus go offline, and when they do. Nothing is deleted: subscribe again on the Billing page at any time, and everything opens again with your menus, dishes and settings as you left them — see Subscribe or change your plan.
