Change dishes for one location

Give a dish or an add-on its own price, name, photo or availability at one location, without touching your catalogue.

Your catalogue holds one version of each dish. When one venue sells it differently — a higher price at the airport, a local name, its own photo, a dish it does not serve — that location overrides it. The change applies in every menu the location serves, and nowhere else.

Who can do this: Owner, Admin, Content manager, and Content editor, and at their location: Location manager

Find the dish

Open the location and its Overrides tab. It lists your whole catalogue, dishes first and add-ons below, a page at a time; Search the catalog finds an entry by name.

Each row says what guests get here: All values inherited, or what this location changed, with a badge such as Price overridden or Name overridden.

  1. Search the catalog narrows both lists.
  2. The badge says what this location changed.
  3. Edit opens the dish's override; on a dish with none, the button is Override.

Override a dish

  1. Open its override

Click Override on the dish. A panel opens with each value the location can change; the catalogue's value is shown beside it.

  2. Change what differs here

Change only what differs; everything you leave alone follows the catalogue.

    • Availability: Unavailable shows the dish as Sold out, and guests cannot add it.
    • Visibility: Hidden takes the dish off this location's menus.
    • Photo: a photo shown here instead of the catalogue's.
    • Override name & descriptions: the name and descriptions guests read here, in each of your languages.
    • Prices: a price per size and currency. An empty field keeps the catalogue price.
  3. Save

Click Save override. The row now shows what changed.

To return a dish to the catalogue, open it and click Remove override. To undo one value only, set it back to Inherit or clear its field.

Some values need a right of their own: prices need the right to change prices, availability the right to manage the stop list, and the photo the right to edit the dish. Without it, the value is shown and stays as it is.

Override an add-on

Add-ons are listed under the dishes. Open one to rename it or give its options their own prices at this location.

Which change wins

A location's change applies in every menu it serves. A menu can change the same dish wherever it is served, and the menu's change wins over the location's — see Change dishes for one menu and Inheritance and overrides.
