Delete a location

Remove a venue you no longer run, and what happens to its page, its QR codes and its menus.

On this page

Delete a location when the venue has closed for good. If it is only closed for a while, hide it instead: set Status to Hidden on its Details tab, and turn it back on when it reopens — see Create a location.

Who can do this: Owner

Delete it

  1. Open the location

Open the location; its Details tab opens first.

  2. Start the deletion

At the bottom of the tab, under Delete location, click Delete.

  3. Confirm

Read the warning and click Delete, or Cancel to keep the location.

You return to the list of locations, and the deleted one is gone from it.

A deleted location cannot be brought back from the dashboard. Every QR code printed for it — its own, its menus' and its tables' — opens Page not found from then on, unless a new location takes its link.

What happens to the rest

  • Its page and codes: the venue page and its menus stop opening for guests, and the location leaves the location directory.
  • Its menus: they are unlinked from this location only. The menus, their dishes and your catalogue stay as they are, and other locations go on serving them.
  • Its link: it becomes free for a new location to take. The deleted location's printed codes then lead to the new one's pages.
