Payments and invoices

Change the card you pay with, what happens when a payment fails, where your invoices are, and how the currency and taxes are set.

Your subscription is sold and charged by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, works out and charges the tax, and issues your invoices and receipts. You enter your payment details in Paddle's secure form inside the Billing page; they never reach Table QR.

Change the card you pay with

Who can do this: Owner and Finance

  1. Open the payment method

On the Billing page, find Payment method and click Update.

  2. Enter the new card

Enter it in the form that opens, Update payment method. Your next payments are charged to it.

The card is charged nothing now, unless a payment is overdue: then updating it also pays the overdue amount. Without a paid plan, Payment method reads Available once you start a paid plan.

A payment that fails

When a renewal can't be charged, your subscription keeps running while Paddle tries again and emails you about it. Meanwhile the plan and add-ons can't change. Update your card as above to pay what is due.

If the payment never goes through, Paddle cancels the subscription. What happens next is the same as after a cancellation — see After the subscription ends.

Invoices

Invoices, at the bottom of the Billing page, lists your organization's payments with their date, amount and status. Click PDF on a row to open its invoice. A payment just made may have no invoice yet: try again a little later.

Purchase history, just above, lists your one-time extras.

Who can do this: Owner, Admin, and Finance

Paddle also emails a receipt for each payment to the person who subscribed. Our own emails about your subscription — when it starts, changes, is cancelled or ends, when a trial is about to end, and before your menus go offline — go to the people who manage billing. They never state amounts: the invoices do.

Currency and taxes

  • Your currency is that of the country you buy from, worked out from where you are when you subscribe; you don't choose it. The subscription stays in that currency, even if you later buy from somewhere else. Your organization's country in Settings plays no part.
  • Taxes depend on that country: in some, the price includes them; in others, they are added at checkout. The order summary shows them before you pay.
  • List prices that change later apply to new purchases. The Billing page shows what your subscription is actually charged.

Refunds

Refunds are made only by our support team — see Support.
