Ask guests to rate their order
Once an order is done, ask the guest for one to five stars: happy guests are sent on to your review pages, the others tell you privately what could have been better.
A guest who just enjoyed their meal is the guest most likely to leave a good review. Once your staff mark an order done, its status page on the guest's phone can ask how it was. A guest who gives four or five stars is offered your review pages right away; a guest who gives fewer can tell you what went wrong, and only you read it.
On Pro and Ultimate. The prompt follows orders placed through guest ordering — see How guest ordering works.
Who can do this: Owner and Admin, and at their location: Location manager
Before you start
Add the pages where guests review you — Google, Tripadvisor and the like — to each location: on its Details tab, under Reviews — see What you can fill in. Without them, a happy guest is thanked, but has nowhere to go on to.
Switch it on
Switch it on for the organization
Open SettingsOrdering, switch on Ask guests to rate their order and select Save. It is off until you switch it on.
Change it for one location
This step is optional. On a location's Ordering tab, under What this location does differently, switch Ask guests to rate their order from Inherited to Overridden, choose on or off for this location, and select Save ordering.
Orders already done are asked about too, the next time their guest opens the order.
What guests see
When your staff mark an order done, the guest's order page shows How was your order? with five stars.
| The guest gives | What happens |
|---|---|
| 4 or 5 stars | The rating is sent at once. The guest sees Glad you enjoyed it! Would you share a review?, with a button for each of the location's review pages. |
| 1 to 3 stars | The guest is asked What could have been better? and can write a few lines — Only the venue reads this. — then selects Send. No review page is offered. |
Each order can be rated once, and a rating can't be changed. Not now hides the question for that order on the guest's phone. Only an order your staff marked done is asked about; a cancelled one never is. How guests follow their order: How guests order from their table.
Read the ratings
A rating belongs to its order. Open the order on the Orders page — for a finished one, in History: its Guest rating section shows the stars, when they were given and the guest's note, and the order's history records Guest rated the order. See Find past orders and export them.
