Set up your dish badges and venue tags
Define once the badges your dishes can wear and the tags your venues show, with their names, colours and icons.
On this page
Badges and venue tags are short labels in your own words and colours. You define each one once for the whole organization, and then pick it wherever it applies: a badge on a dish, a tag on a location. Rename one, and it changes everywhere it is used.
Dietary tags, allergens and spiciness are not set up here: they are a fixed list, translated for your guests in every language — see Dish details.
Dish badges
Badges make a dish stand out on the menu: New, Bestseller, Chef's choice or a label of your own, such as "Business lunch". Open SettingsDish badges.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, Content manager, and Content editor
- The pencil changes a badge's colour and icon — and, for one of your own, its name in each language. The arrows beside it change the order, the cross removes it.
- From the catalogue: ready-made badges, translated automatically into every menu language. Select one to add it.
- Add badge adds your own badge: type its name under Create your own and pick its colour and icon first.
Select Save changes at the bottom of the page to keep your changes, or Discard to drop them.
- A badge of your own is named in your default language when you create it. Add its name in your other languages with the pencil, or guests reading them see the default name.
- Removing a badge takes it off every dish that wears it.
- The order here is the order in which badges are offered in the product form.
- You can also create a badge while editing a dish, with Add badge: it joins this list.
Badge colours always stay readable: on your guest menu, each colour is adjusted to the menu's own colours so the text keeps its contrast.
Venue tags
Venue tags are short claims about a place — Free Wi-Fi, Terrace, Live music — shown on each location's public page. Open SettingsTags.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, and Marketing
- Colour of the tag.
- On by default: the tag applies to every location that has not chosen its own tags.
- Add from the catalogue: select a tag to add it.
- Add adds the tag you typed under Or write your own.
Select Save changes to keep your changes. Which tags are true of which venue is chosen on the location itself, in its Tags section — see Create a location.
