Create a location

Add a venue, give it a link and a time zone, and fill in what guests see on its page.

A location is one of your venues: its address, its hours, its photos and the menus it serves. Each location has a public page of its own, the one its QR codes open — see Locations, menus and the catalogue.

Who can do this: Owner and Admin

Before you start

  • Know the venue's address and its time zone. Opening hours, the business day and sales reports are read on the venue's clock.
  • Your plan sets how many locations you can have. When you reach it, a banner above the list says so and New location is not offered — see Limits and usage.

Create it

  1. Open the locations list

Open Locations in the sidebar and click New location.

    1. Locations lists every location of the organization.
    2. New location opens the form.
  2. Name it and check its link

Type the venue's name in Name. The link in Slug fills in from the name; change it if you like. It must be unique within your organization, and the form tells you at once whether it is free.

    1. Name is the name guests see.
    2. Slug is the last part of the venue page's address.
    3. Status: Active or Hidden.
  3. Choose whether guests can reach it

Leave Status on Active, or pick Hidden while you set the venue up. Guests who open a hidden location's page or scan its codes see Page not found, and the location directory leaves it out.

  4. Set its region and clock

Under Region & clock, leave Country as the organization's unless the venue is in another country: it decides which payment options guests are offered there. Pick the venue's Time zone.

  5. Fill in the rest

Everything else is optional and can wait — the next section lists it.

  6. Create the location

Click Create location. The location's page opens, and the location appears in the list.

Every QR code printed for a location carries its link. If you change Slug later, codes already printed open a page that no longer exists — print them again.

What you can fill in

Fill these in now, or later on the location's Details tab, where Save changes saves the whole form at once. Each one appears on the venue page once it is filled.

SectionWhat it holds
AboutA few lines about the place, in each of your languages.
Contact & addressPhone, email, website and the street address.
Social networks and messengersA link, an @handle, or a phone number for WhatsApp and Viber; shown in the order you list them.
DeliveryThe delivery services that sell your food.
Find usOne link per map service, so guests open the one they use.
ReviewsWhere guests read and leave reviews.
Guest Wi-FiThe network name and password, or Open network — no password needed. Guests see it with a copy button, so put only what you would print on a card by the door.
Opening hoursWhen the venue is open, day by day. Add hours adds a second range to a day, for a break; Copy to every day repeats a day's hours. When a menu is served is set separately — see Schedule a menu at a location.
TagsShort claims shown on the venue page. The list is made once for the organization in SettingsTags; a location follows the organization's default tags until you choose its own.
Linked menusThe menus the location serves — see Choose the menus a location serves.

The Inherited from organization card shows the currency and languages the location starts with. To narrow them for this location, use its Settings tab — see Change a location's settings.

Add photos

Photos are added once the location exists: on its Images tab, or under Photos on its Details tab.

  • Gallery: up to 10 photos. The first one leads the venue page and the venue's card in the location directory; guests swipe through the rest.
  • Icon: a small square mark shown where the venue is listed rather than pictured, such as the top of its guest menu.
  1. Add photo uploads photos from your device; you can pick several at once or drop them on the tile.
  2. Choose from library reuses photos already in your media library.

The Images tab saves each change as you make it. On the Details tab, photos are saved with the rest of the form. Every photo counts towards your image storage.

The Brand and Search & social sections set this location's own logo and how its page looks in search results and shared links — see Make the guest menu look like your brand and Set up search and link previews.
