Print a menu
Turn a menu into a PDF for paper menus and staff copies — pick the location, language and currency, lay it out and download it.
On this page
A printed menu is made from the same menu guests see on their phones, laid out for paper: one language, one currency, and the name, contacts and prices of one location. You arrange it on screen, and what you see in the preview is exactly what prints.
Every plan. Anyone who can open the menu can print it; no special role is needed.
Make the PDF
Open the print page
On the menu's page, click PDF.
Choose the location, language and currency
Pick the Location: the printed name, contacts, Wi-Fi and prices are that location's. Then the Language and the Currency; they start from the location's defaults.
- The location whose name, contacts and prices are printed.
- The one language of this PDF.
- The one currency of this PDF.
- Download PDF opens the print dialog.
Lay it out
Open the panel's sections and set what you need — the preview follows every change:
- Page: paper size, one or two columns, group names.
- Dishes: how much each dish shows — photos, descriptions, portion, nutrition, preparation time, sizes, tags, allergens, add-ons, sold-out dishes. Density sets several at once.
- Header and Footer: the logo and names at the top; contacts, Wi-Fi, the service fee and VAT notes and page numbers at the bottom.
- QR codes: codes for the online menu, the map and reviews, at the end or on every page.
- Sections: untick a section to leave it out, or insert a page break so the next one starts on a new page. The page icon on a heading in the preview does the same.
Download it
Click Download PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens: choose "Save as PDF" as the destination to get the file, or a printer to print it straight away.
How information is printed
- Allergens can print as numbers of the EU list, icons or names. Numbers and icons are explained once, in a legend at the end.
- Add-ons used by several dishes can print once, with a letter each dish refers to, instead of under every dish.
- Prices are in the chosen currency. A dish without a price in that currency prints without one — see Prices in several currencies.
- Text is in the chosen language; anything not translated prints in the menu's default language — see Translate a menu.
The layout you choose is remembered for this menu in your browser, so the next print starts from it. The language and currency start from the location's defaults each time.
