Find your way around the dashboard

The overview page, the sidebar and the organization switcher, search with ⌘K, notifications, and the dashboard's language and theme.

The dashboard is where you and your team run Table QR. Each organization has its own, and what you see in it follows your role and your plan: a page your plan does not include or your role does not reach — Orders or Billing, say — is left out of the sidebar, so two people in the same organization may see different pages.

  1. The sidebar: every page you can open in this organization.
  2. Your account menu.
  3. Shortcuts to a new menu or a new product.
  4. This week's numbers.

The overview page

Overview is the first page of an organization: how things stand, at a glance.

  • Shortcuts. New menu and New product start a menu or a product, when your role may create them.
  • This week's numbers. Menu views · 7d and Visitors · 7d count how often guests opened your menus over the last seven days, against the week before. They show when your role may see analytics; otherwise these two tiles count your locations and menus instead. Active menus counts your published menus, and Products your products, with how many are hidden. More numbers: Analytics.
  • Locations. Each location with the menu it serves now, how many items it has, and whether it is Active or Hidden. Click one to open it.
  • Recent activity. The changes made across the organization in the last 24 hours, when your role may see them; View all opens the full log — see The activity log.

A brand-new organization with nothing in it shows a welcome card with Create location instead.

The sidebar

  • The organization, at the top. Click its name to switch to another organization you belong to, open your Personal account, or start a new organization with Create organization — see Work with several organizations.
  • The pages, from Overview to Settings, grouped under Analytics and Management. The glossary links each term to its page.
  • Your account menu, at the bottom, under your name: Account settings, the Theme — System, Light or Dark — and Log out.
  • During the free trial, a card above your name counts the days left, with Upgrade; the same count sits at the top of every page. See The free trial.

To give the page more room, fold the sidebar down to its icons with the button at the top left, or with ⌘B (Ctrl+B on Windows). On a phone, the same button opens and closes it.

Search and jump with ⌘K

The box at the top, Search or jump to…, takes you anywhere without clicking through menus. Click it or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and type:

  • a page, or a section inside one — typing "settings" lists every section of the settings;
  • an action — Create product, Invite team member, switching to another organization or changing the dashboard's language;
  • one of your own records by name, from two letters on — a location, menu, product, add-on, category, menu section, table or QR code design.

Arrow keys move through the results, Enter opens one and ⌘Enter (Ctrl+Enter) opens it in a new tab. With the box empty, what you opened lately comes first, under Recent. Search offers only what you could reach from the sidebar.

Notifications

The bell at the top right collects messages for you: a teammate has accepted your invitation, your trial is about to end, a payment failed, your plan changed. Opening one marks it read; Mark all as read clears the rest. Which messages also reach you by email: Notifications.

Language and theme

  • Language. The language button next to the bell switches the whole dashboard to another language, and remembers it on your account. It changes your screens only: the languages of your menu are set on the menu — see Menu languages.
  • Theme. Light, dark, or following your device: choose it under Theme in your account menu.

Your name, photo and other personal settings: Your profile.

Notices above the page

A bar above the page header asks for your attention when something needs it: an email address to confirm (see Confirm your email address), the days left in your free trial, or a plan that has ended.
